Maxasol LA Injection is a sterile, pre-constituted solution of the broad-spectrum antibiotic oxytetracycline dihydrate and the non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) flunixin meglumine.
Indications:
For the treatment of bacterial pneumonia associated with Pasteurella spp. and for the control of associated pyrexia in beef and non-lactating dairy cattle.

Do not administer more than 10 mL per injection site (1 to 2 mL per site in small calves). Maxasol LA is recommended where retreatment of calves and yearlings is impractical due to husbandry conditions, such as cattle on range, or where their repeated restraint is inadvisable.

Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment.
Cattle may be slaughtered for human consumption only after 35 days from the last treatment.
Not for use in cattle producing milk for human consumption.
Contra-Indications:
Do not use in animals showing hypersensitivity to either flunixin meglumine or oxytetracycline.

CAUTION:
Avoid eye contact and direct contact with skin. To avoid possible sensitisation reactions, avoid contact with skin. Gloves should be worn during application. In the case of accidental contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
The product may cause reactions in sensitive individuals. If you have known hypersensitivity for non-steroidal antiinflammatory products, do not handle the product. Reactions may be serious. Avoid accidental self-injection.
